Location

Located on the shores of Lake Cholila, El Pedregoso is a gateway to Patagonia’s stunning landscapes and world-class fly-fishing.

Hostería del Pedregoso is located on Lake Cholila, 15 km from the village of Cholila, 60 km south of El Bolsón, and nearly 200 km from San Carlos de Bariloche. It’s also accessible from Esquel, about 145 km away. The easiest way to reach the lodge is by flying from Buenos Aires to either Bariloche or Esquel, followed by a drive.
From Bariloche, the 196 km drive takes about three to four hours, and from Esquel, it’s a two-hour drive. The Hostería can arrange an airport pick-up from either location. Daily flights connect Buenos Aires with Bariloche and Esquel in about two hours and twenty minutes.

From Bariloche, drive south along Ruta Nacional 40 for 157 km, then turn onto Ruta Provincial 71. After 3 km, take the track to the right leading to Lake Cholila and the Hostería.

From Esquel, take Ruta Nacional 259 north for 70 km until reaching Ruta 71, and follow the same directions to the Hostería. Signs along the way guide you to the lodge, a two-story butter-yellow house on the banks of the río Pedregoso. Guests can park near the river and cross a bridge to reach the lodge, or ford the river in dry weather with a high-clearance 4×4.

Private aircraft can land at a nearby airstrip by prior arrangement.
